ABOUT me
the story behind good ink
Creativity has always been part of how I move through the world. As a kid, I was drawn to making things with my hands—never too concerned with the medium, only the feeling of bringing something to life.
Over time, that creative eye naturally turned toward beauty. At 11 years old, armed with brow wax from Sally Beauty and a surprising amount of confidence, I shaped my first pair of brows for a friend. To everyone’s surprise, they looked good.
Years later, after leaving a corporate path that no longer felt aligned, I stepped fully into the beauty industry. What began as a pursuit of makeup artistry and hair styling for Portland’s TV and film world eventually led me to cosmetic tattooing—and the moment I found it, everything clicked.
Today, Good Ink is home to subtle cosmetic tattooing and restorative paramedical tattoo work, created with technical precision, softness, and individualized care in SE Portland.
passion for paramedical tattooting
I love creating Nano eyebrows and I will always provide this service, but there is a special place in my heart for paramedical tattooing; specifically areola hyperrealism. When I first started tattooing in 2017 I was incredibly focused on cosmetic tattoos but even during that time, I always knew that I had a strong desire to lean into the paramedical tattoo world.
A few years later, my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and went through the entire mastectomy and reconstruction process. Being a witness to her journey was incredible and gave me a whole new perspective and understanding of what it means when someone says they are a cancer Survivor.
I am so grateful that I was able to tattoo my mom in the early days of my areola restoration work. Any time someone comes to me for this service, I do my best to empathize with the multitude of emotions that can arise in this process.
The paramedical areola tattoos I offer serve a variety of clients. Some have a background of cancer recovery and some are in their journey of transitioning… becoming who they were meant to be all along. For every client who walks through my door, my main focus is to be of service and to create healing and restorative art with my hyperrealistic areola tattoos.
